Villa Sucota
Neoclassical building with library specialized in silk production
The villa is now headquarters of Antonio Ratti foundation. It was built between XIX and the beginning of XX century and belonged to different people. Among them Metternich, Napoleon's doctor. The villa hosted abbot Pietro Configliacchi, Alessandro Volta's student, who started his collection of rare and exotic plants here. XIX-century-style buildings were added to the original neoclassical one. Now the villa has a library with books and documentation on silk and yarn.
