The Sunday Aperitivo in the Ostello Bello becomes linguistic!
Two tables, one rule. On one table the only language allowed is English and on the other one, only Spanish. No exception! / ¡No excepción!
One of the problems when learning a foreign language is the lack of speaking: you often end up in a labyrinth of grammatical rules and words that you don’t really use and therefore, when you have to speak, you have to face the great, classic, mental blocks: "I understand what they are saying, but I cannot speak!" Or: "I think in my language and then I translate, I spend too much time and I make a mess!"
The idea of this aperitivo is to overcome these barriers and to get into the habit of talking, to actively use the knowledge you have acquired at school, from reading books, from travelling and from watching TV series in order to improve your practical, linguistic skills.
The moderator will be Tommaso Severgnini, an English teacher at Opificio Zappa, CFP Enfapi Briantea Institute and Galileo Galilei Scientific Upper Secondary School in Erba, and who graduated in Como in Interlinguistic and Intercultural Mediation Sciences.
