Silk in Como, history and tradition

The museum shows the cultural and entrepreneurial tradition of silk in Como with machines, looms, fabrics and stories that had huge impacts on the territory. The museum is over 1000 square meters large and it's a place for exhibitions and cultural events open to visitors and schools.
The Museum has a store of products reflecting the high quality silk production in the city of Como.
When purchasing an item, you give your contribution to this cultural organization so that it can continue to fulfil its mission aim at preserving, studying and spreading its territory’s culture and history.

The Museum will be open from Thursday to Sunday from 3pm to 7pm.

The Museum has been properly sanitised and our staff will sanitise any surface after each use, including the interactive installations, which will be normally accessible to visitors along the route.
Regarding the safety requirements necessary for the visit of the Museum, it is mandatory to measure the temperature at the entrance and to wear a mask.
Hand sanitiser stations can be found at the entrance and along the route.
The halls of the Museum have a limited capacity, that will be communicated at the beginning of the visit, in compliance with social distancing for the safety of visitors.
There will be adequate signs, both vertical and horizontal, along the routeto facilitate the visit in full compliance with the current health regulations.
